Warm ochre light enters the picture plane from a low, unseen source and settles across the figure as a dense, almost metallic surface. Where cooler violet passages resist the gold, the digital underpainting stays visible, leaving the material construction openly legible. The tension rests on the gap between that saturated luminance and the restraint of a single, withheld gaze.
