Two Faces, One Pigment
Saturated fields of pure hue press against the contours of two faces that resist remaining distinct. Light appears to rise from within the pigment itself rather than from any external source, which dissolves the boundary between figure and ground. The result is a controlled tension in which recognition and dissolution occur simultaneously, leaving the viewer to decide where one self ends and another begins.
