Gold against a black sky. She has thrown her arms open to the weather as if it were a person she has been waiting for, and the lightning behind her head answers before the thunder does. The dress is painted the way the old masters painted silk: every fold a small light of its own, the whole figure rising on it like a flame. Nothing here is indecent and nothing is calm.
